FAQ
Questions before you start.
The questions people ask before they make an account. Anything not answered here is in the docs, or ask us.
Does the AI get things wrong?
It can. Nothing it proposes lands on your board until you tick it, and every section has a Check button that looks for anything factually wrong or out of date. Papers and vivas are marked against a key written from your own board.
What can I bring in?
PDFs (you pick the pages), Word documents, screenshots and photos (handwriting included), pasted text, links, and recordings, which are transcribed. Save PowerPoint files as PDF first.
How is this different from a flashcard app or an AI notebook?
A flashcard app schedules cards you write. An AI notebook answers questions about your sources. MySummaries turns your sources into one board you check line by line, writes the cards, papers, lectures and viva questions from it, schedules the cards, and marks your answers against it. Side by side: Gemini Notebook, Anki, Quizlet.
Is my work used to train AI?
No. Your work never trains a model — not ours, not our providers'. Every company that touches it is named on the Trust page.
Is there an app?
Mac, the web app in its own window on the same account: download for Mac (macOS 12 or later, Apple silicon and Intel). iPhone, in beta on TestFlight: ask for an invite. There is no Android app yet.
What happens when the free plan runs out?
Nothing you made is taken away. A counter at zero stops you making more of that kind; your boards, notes and everything already generated stay. What the free plan includes, in full.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from your billing page. You keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
Which languages?
English, in Australian, British or American spelling, and Brazilian Portuguese — for the interface, on the web and on the iPhone, and for everything the AI writes.
