Example boards
Finished boards anyone can read on mysummaries.app, one per field, without an account.
Example boards is a set of finished boards published on mysummaries.app, so you can see what a board looks like before you make one. Each was made in MySummaries, one per field, and anyone can read them without signing in.
The six so far:
- The chain-ladder method (actuarial science)
- Stalls and load factor (aviation)
- Beams: shear, bending and deflection (engineering)
- The classical orders (architecture)
- Cost-volume-profit and break-even (accounting)
- Models of memory (psychology)
Reading one#
Each board has its own page at /boards/{name}, drawn as the app shows a board in Study
mode: the subject and board name at the top, its sections in columns, tables, a picture and
formulae. A line under the title says what the board was made for and when it was last
updated.
The highlights are marked the way a student marks their own notes, and the key above the board says what each colour means: the idea, a number to know, what to do, or the formula and a trap.
Every picture is credited under it, with its source and licence. Where a board belongs to an exam or subject MySummaries has guides for, a link under the board goes to them. More example boards, at the foot, lists the others.
What you can do with one#
An example board is a page to read. It cannot be opened in the app, copied into your account or drilled: there are no cards, papers or lectures on it.
Make your own board opens the sign-up for a free account. From there you build a board from your own notes (see boards), and the cards, papers, lectures and stations are written from what you wrote.
There is no way to publish a board of your own as an example. To let someone else see your boards, share the subject with them.
